It is an iterative process with the following:
Step 0. Register or Sign in
- Register to create an account
- Sign in using your existing account
Step 1. Lay the Groundwork
- Identify and set career goals
- Choose career path to get you to your goal
- Consider time frame required
- Work with career coach
Step 2. Parenthetical Title(s)
- Choose appropriate parenthetical title(s) to meet your career goal
- Choose appropriate anticipated experience (performance) level
- Identify core and recommended competencies for selected parenthetical title/performance level
Step 3. Competency Assessment
- Perform self-assessment of general and technical competencies by assigning appropriate ‘current proficiency’
- Identify competency gaps for selected parenthetical title(s)
Step 4. Developmental Opportunities
- Select appropriate developmental opportunities from the course catalog that develop competencies with gaps
- Add additional ‘personalized’ developmental opportunities that are not in the course catalog
Step 5. Career Devevlopment Plan
- Create/edit individual career development plans for each career development scenario
- Add desired courses to plans
- Periodically check your progress and update development plans, competency assessment, and courses taken
Iterative step. Evaluation and plan adjustment.
- Return to step 2, Parenthetical Title to evaluate and make any adjustments.
